I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about one of the things I’m most excited about in our store, Burromax electric minibikes.
These bikes are a game changer. Whether you’re a first-time rider, a parent looking for a reliable and safe option for the kids, or just a big kid at heart (I see you!) Burromax ticks all the boxes.
In May we visited Burromax who supply us with electric minibikes. Burromax is based in St Charles which is a suburb of St Louis, Missouri, USA. They are a privately owned company which develop and engineer their own products and the company is owned by Ken Francis who hosted us very well. They have recently developed some new models and I got to ride some of their latest creations, including the TT Max, a 1500W version of the TT1000R. It certainly packs some punch and takes this high performing bike to the next level.
They have also developed a new hunting bike, the Sportsman HRH, based on the TT1600R with a longer swing arm and an uprated 2500W motor with lovely smooth delivery on the throttle. This bike can travel up to 100km on a single charge with its 30AH lithium-ion battery. It has a top speed of 70kph and can be fitted with front and rear carry racks which make it very useful for hunting. If it’s speed and performance you are after then the XR series delivers that with its 2500W motor and extended swing arm.
Burromax distributes bikes all over the USA from their base in St Louis and carries a good inventory of bikes and parts.
There’s a reason I chose to become the official NZ distributor for Burromax. These bikes are seriously well-built. They’ve got the look and feel of a petrol-powered dirt bike, but without the noise, fumes, or the maintenance hassles. That means you can ride them in your backyard, down the driveway, or at the beach and no one’s complaining about the racket.

TT250:Perfect for beginners and younger riders. It’s lightweight, zippy, and great for building confidence.
TT350R: This one’s a step up in power. It’s still easy to handle but has a bit more punch for older kids (and adults who want to sneak a ride).
TT750R: My personal favourite. More torque, more range, more fun. If you’re looking for something the whole family can enjoy, this is it.
TT1000R: The sweet spot of the range. Plenty of speed and stamina for adventurous riders, while still being smooth and easy to control.
TT1600R: For those who want maximum power and size. It’s got the feel of a proper motorbike, just without all the running costs.
Each one comes with a built-in charger, adjustable speed settings, real suspension, and tyres that can handle a bit of off-road action. We also stock parts, batteries, and accessories so you can keep your ride in top shape.
These bikes are perfect for our New Zealand lifestyle, whether you’re in town, out on a lifestyle block, or packing it in the ute for a weekend away. A lot of our customers grab one for their kids and end up coming back to buy another for themselves. And because they’re electric, they’re a lot cheaper to run and maintain than petrol-powered bikes.
